GRIEF TENDING SAVES LIVES

A grief care routine is more important than a skin care routine.

I said what I said.

Nicole Muñoz-Proulx (she/they)

Always sad doesn’t mean ONLY sad. I feel a lot of things deeply, but not so long ago I was saturated by overwhelm and completely numb, numb, numb.

In 2021 my mom, Stella, passed away, and an earth-shattering grief journey knocked me off my axis and onto my ass. Navigating the sludge and pixie dust of grief illuminated a lot of internal things that I had ignored. I re-discovered that empathy is a superpower, and I have been relearning how to embrace it healthFULLY ever since. Fast forward past some unbelievably difficult shit — today I am a 33 year old empath on the cusp of a big transformation.

Over the past two decades I have supported social justice organizations in various capacities. My current passion is to help the sad babes of the world reclaim their power and live a deliciously joyous and present life.

Nicole is equipped with a background in peace and justice and is dedicated to exploring the intersections of injustice and amplifying the connection grief has with EVERYTHING. She strives to lead with compassion and to bring people together to address systems of oppression one breath at a time.

She is committed to trauma-informed care, grief tending practices, community resilience, and education support services. Her familiarity with the all consuming ache, the debilitating, the disorienting, and the completely unhinged state that is carrying loss propels her to lighten its unbearable load on the world one support service at a time.

Slowing down and embracing grief changed her life. She believes that extraordinary things become possible when individuals shift their priority from racing through life, to meandering through it. Her goal is to normalize and neutralize big emotions AND to remind everyone that:

Your Are More Than A Feeling!

Fairy “Grief” Mother Reporting for Care

The internet says that grief is a natural emotional and physical response to any significant loss.

Yes, AND, grief is multi-dimensional.

It can impact every fibre of the being, the depth and disorientation of it varies, and one’s relationship with it, like most things, can change. I believe that grief is love, a shared belief among many grief practitioners. The pain or longing induced by loss exists because of one’s capacity to love. And like human love, human grief, evolves, and people along with it. Please don’t be afraid of grief – it hurts, but it also heals.

Safe ways to explore grief do exist and exploring them may unlock a world of discoveries.
